Thanh Thuy is a female singer in the genre of modern Vietnamese music. She is one of the most influential singers in the history of modern Vietnamese music, especially in the “Nhac Vang” (Golden Music) genre, as her pioneering voice was one of the earliest in this music style. She is known for her performances in popular songs of the “Nhac Vang” and pre-war music such as “Nua dem ngoai pho” (Midnight outside the city), “Mua nua dem” (Rain in the middle of the night), “Pho buon” (Sad street), and others.
